These terms cover buying from RetroTopJoe. They are written in plain language and are intended to be read alongside the Delivery and Returns & Refunds pages.
About RetroTopJoe
RetroTopJoe is an independent online seller based in the United Kingdom, run by one person. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
Product descriptions
Every item is described as accurately as possible. Photographs and descriptions are intended to show the item you will receive, including any noticeable marks, pulls, stains, wear or other condition issues.
Product condition
RetroTopJoe sells a mixture of new, pre-owned, modern, retro and vintage products, so condition varies from item to item. Pre-owned and vintage pieces may show age-related wear consistent with their age. Where this is shown in the photographs or noted in the description, it is part of the item's character and condition rather than a fault.
Product images
Photographs are of the item for sale wherever possible. Colours can appear slightly different between screens and under different lighting.
Pricing
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Prices can change at any time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. If an obvious pricing error occurs, you will be contacted before the order is processed and offered the correct price or a full refund.
Stock availability and one-off products
Much of the stock is one-off or very limited, so once an item has sold it may not be available again. In the rare event that an item sells elsewhere at the same time and cannot be supplied, you will be contacted and given a full refund.
Orders, payment and confirmation
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Payment is taken securely through the website's payment provider at checkout. A confirmation email is sent once the order is received; the contract is formed once the order is accepted and dispatched.
Delivery
UK delivery is sent by Royal Mail at £4.50 including postage and packaging. Orders placed before 12:30pm on eligible working days are normally aimed for same-day dispatch. Dispatch and delivery may take longer around weekends and UK bank holidays. Delivery timescales offered by carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed.
International delivery
International delivery is available to most destinations, priced according to the destination or shipping zone. Delivery times vary by country and by customs handling.
Customs and import charges
Orders sent outside the UK may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the price or postage paid at checkout.
Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are handled in line with the Returns & Refunds page, which forms part of these terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, get in touch as soon as possible. If the order has not yet been dispatched it can usually be cancelled and refunded. If it has already been sent, it can be handled as a return in line with the Returns & Refunds page.
Signed memorabilia and certificates
Signed items are supplied with a RetroTopJoe Certificate of Authenticity. Where an item already comes with an original or independent third-party certificate, that documentation is included as well. RetroTopJoe does not independently authenticate autographs. Signed stock is carefully sourced from reputable dealers, collectors, resellers and people involved in obtaining autographs.
Marketplace purchases
Orders placed through a marketplace such as eBay or Vinted are covered by that marketplace's own terms, returns process and buyer protection, and should be handled through that platform.
Website availability
Every effort is made to keep the website available and accurate, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Content on the site, including images and text, belongs to RetroTopJoe and should not be reproduced without permission.
Customer responsibilities
Please make sure the delivery address and contact details you provide are complete and correct, and check item descriptions, sizing and condition notes before ordering. If you are unsure about anything, ask before you buy.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.
